Missing inputs
What happens when a required field is missing, null, or malformed?
Built for small delivery teams: one authorized n8n/API workflow, up to six agreed failure paths, and a handoff that makes tested findings and untested risks unmistakably different.
A release-readiness input, not production sign-off or security certification. No credentials for the initial fit check.
01 / What we investigate
For agencies, the most expensive surprise is often an untested edge case discovered during a client handoff. These are examples; we agree which scenarios actually apply before work begins.
What happens when a required field is missing, null, or malformed?
Does a repeat submission produce an unintended duplicate business action?
What happens when an upstream API times out, fails, or returns partial data?
Are model responses validated before later workflow steps use them?
Can a flow act when its required human decision is still missing?
Could an old result be presented as current after the underlying input changes?
02 / How it works
Start with a description, not private repository access. We decide together whether the work can be tested safely before discussing the final agreement.
Share a high-level task description and the one failure that matters most. No sensitive files needed.
Confirm node count, sanitized inputs, six or fewer scenarios, permission, acceptance owner, and written terms.
Static reviews stay labeled as static. Runtime findings require a permitted isolated environment.
Each finding states the input, expected outcome, observed result or limitation, severity, and recommendation.
03 / Pilot scope
A proposed starting estimate, not a binding offer. We confirm fit, identity, payment terms, and acceptance criteria in writing before work begins.
Conditional pilot estimate
US$149Proposed fixed-price pilot for a qualified workflow; not an accepted quote. Static-only reviews or larger flows need separate scope and pricing.
SCOPE REVIEW / PROPOSEDBoundaries matter. No production login or modification, third-party confidential data, payment or messaging execution, destructive load testing, security certification, guaranteed defect-free outcome, or bundled workflow rebuild. We only report tests actually performed.
04 / What is evidenced today
Our claims will not outrun our test results. The current examples below are internal engineering work, not external paid-client case studies.
Internal web prototype: two reproduced and repaired defects, followed by browser checks. This is not an n8n production deployment.
Internal GitHub PR evidence-review research prototype, including mocked API tests. Not an independently certified security system.
05 / Common questions
No. Start with a plain-language description. For a scoped pilot we need an authorized, redacted workflow and synthetic examples. We will not request live credentials for initial review.
No. It is a bounded failure-path preflight of one workflow. Repair, migration, deployment, and broader audits require separate estimates and appropriate authorization.
Only with an agreed isolated environment and the right permission. Without it, outputs are marked “static review” or “proposed test,” not runtime-confirmed.
We agree on selected cases and acceptance criteria before work. The handoff is complete when every agreed case has a reproducible input and a tested observation or an explicit limitation, alongside prioritized recommendations.
No. They are self-owned internal engineering examples. We do not claim prior paid n8n customer deployments or independent certifications.
Tell us the workflow’s purpose, approximate node count and one edge case the client worries about. No credentials or confidential data in the first message. We will confirm feasibility before quoting.
