Sample handoff / fictional example
What your review
could look like
A structured way to discuss failures before a client accepts an automation. Each case has an expected outcome, an evidence status and a clear next action.
01 / Workflow boundary
A hypothetical form receives an appointment request, validates fields, checks for a repeated submission and sends an entry to a CRM. The diagram outlines a proposed sequence, not a deployed system.
02 / Proposed failure cases
An actual report would replace the status with EXECUTED, STATIC ONLY, BLOCKED or NOT TESTED as justified by the evidence. This fictional sample contains no observed runtime outcomes.
| Case | Input / expected behavior | Evidence status | Suggested priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01 · Missing email | Send a request with no contact address. Expect a validation error and no CRM entry. | NOT TESTED | High |
| 02 · Repeat submit | Send the same request ID twice. Expect one CRM entry, with a safe duplicate response. | NOT TESTED | High |
| 03 · CRM timeout | Simulate an upstream timeout. Expect a bounded retry or a visible exception. | NOT TESTED | High |
| 04 · Unexpected CRM response | Return missing or malformed response fields. Expect the flow to stop safely. | NOT TESTED | Medium |
| 05 · Incomplete consent | Provide an unchecked approval field. Expect no outbound data transfer. | NOT TESTED | High |
| 06 · Delayed confirmation | Simulate a message-service failure. Expect the request status to remain explicit. | NOT TESTED | Medium |
03 / What a real handoff includes
Evidence for each agreed case
- Input and environment boundary
- Expected vs. observed behavior (only if executed)
- Reproduction steps or static-review basis
- Severity, confidence and limitations
Recommended next actions
- Highest-impact failures first
- Owner and acceptance criteria for fixes
- Unresolved risks clearly marked
- One clarification round after handoff
04 / Want to see actual executed checks?
Reproducible synthetic reliability demo
Separately from the fictional report above, we executed six deterministic Python checks on an invented webhook workflow. The runnable source, before-and-after observations and machine-readable results are published openly. This is internal synthetic evidence, not a customer deployment or an n8n runtime test.
Have a workflow due for delivery?
Send a short, non-sensitive description and the failure you are most concerned about. We will confirm whether a bounded review is a good fit before quoting.
