Find repeated Shopify webhook deliveries before you retry.

Compare a sanitized three-column CSV to spot repeated deliveries, shared event IDs and conflicting rows. The checker points to the CSV row numbers worth reviewing. Nothing leaves your browser through this tool. Every result is a clue to investigate, not a verdict that a payment or order was duplicated.

Inspect your delivery/event IDs

Use authorized, pseudonymous values only. Do not paste names, order numbers, tokens, raw payloads or an unredacted provider export. Max 5,000 rows / 250,000 characters.

Load the fictional example or paste a safe CSV, then select Analyze locally.

What this checks

The results list CSV row numbers for any repeated observations or ID conflicts. Review those lines in your original authorized export, then investigate whether the repetition came from a retry or an export issue. Results contain no original delivery IDs or event IDs.

Delivery ID repeats: the same delivery key appears in several supplied rows. These could be retry observations or duplicates in your export; the data does not say which. Event ID correlation: one merchant event ID appears with multiple delivery IDs. That can happen legitimately with separate subscriptions. Conflict: a single delivery ID is mapped to incompatible event/topic pairs—review how you constructed your snapshot.

No automatic deduplication. The tool will not tell you to delete an order or suppress a notification just because two rows share an event ID. Your app must validate the webhook signature, choose the correct key for its subscribed delivery, and store processed keys durably.

Want to investigate the full outcome?

A delivery record still does not establish that n8n executed the expected step or that a CRM or fulfillment record exists. Use the Outcome Reconciler for source → execution → receipt evidence, or the Shopify + n8n missing-order guide if an event never appears in your workflow.

Understand the official keys

Shopify documents X-Shopify-Webhook-Id for identifying a delivery and X-Shopify-Event-Id for correlating notifications caused by the same merchant action. See the official verification and duplicate-handling guide. This free tool does not perform HMAC verification or call Shopify.
