Reported match
The row claims limited approval. It is not independent proof that a real delivery occurred.
Five fictional cases for people who build, review or inherit automations. Separate the expected result, reported observation, independent receipt and human decision before treating a green run as complete.
Free evaluation, not a product checkout. The file imports as static Notion database rows or opens in a spreadsheet. It is not a native duplicable Notion template, CRM connection, signed acceptance or paid product.
Every row and every evidence reference is invented for the trial.
The row claims limited approval. It is not independent proof that a real delivery occurred.
A declared CRM field differs from what was expected, even though execution was green.
The downstream outcome has no independently observed evidence.
The declared information is complete, but an authorized reviewer has not approved.
The rejection remains visible even if stated values happen to match.
Open the practice CSV in Excel or Sheets. Decide the Gate and next action yourself. Record any uncertainty and the complete setup time.
Import a new copy of the same practice CSV into a fresh Notion test database. Add your own Gate and next action properties. Record time and confusion; the second attempt benefits from practice.
Compare both choices with the worked answer key below. Then change a value and see which method supports review better. An imported Gate value cannot update itself when the underlying evidence changes.
Important: Notion CSV import does not build native formulas, relations or rollups. Reimporting may add duplicate records rather than update them. This preview is not yet a publishable native Notion Marketplace template.
The practice sheet deliberately leaves out the supplied Gate and Next Action. Classify the fictional cases first; compare your decisions with the worked answer key afterwards. If you use the same cases in two tools, the second attempt benefits from familiarity, so do not report the resulting time difference as an unbiased speed advantage. Ask what you missed and whether you would repeat the review.
Other free Notion templates, spreadsheets or native workflow monitoring may already be better. If your method wins, tell us—this research is meant to stop us from selling an unnecessary tool.
